Rani Gul Begum was the wife of Mahraja Ranjit Singh(Shaer-e-Punjab). Maharaja Ranjit got marriage with Gul Begum at the age of 51 years in 1831. She belonged to Amartsir and she was a dancer and singer.Mahraja Ranjit Singh gave respect to her religious and have not forced to change her religion from Muslim to Sikh. Maharaja Ranjit gave the title to her with Gul Bahar Begum. This historical Garden built by Rani Gul begum in 1856 after the death of Mahraja Ranjit Singh and also built a tomb in her life. After the death in 1865 She buried here.This tomb was located in Miani sahb Qabaristan in the area of Muzang Lahore. Miani Qabaristan is the biggest Qabaristan of Lahore.
